🧷 Stitch Club workshops
While Stitch Club began with a strong focus on hand stitch and mixed media, we’ve listened closely to our growing community—and the response was clear!
Every few months, we now offer a special workshop centred on machine embroidery. These sessions are designed for members who are curious to explore machine-based techniques alongside their hand-stitched practice.
Even when a workshop is focused on hand stitch, you’ll occasionally find artists weaving in machine stitching as an optional enhancement—giving you even more freedom to make the work your own.
🧵 A helping hand
Whether you’re new to machine embroidery or looking to build your skills, our workshop leaders and fellow Stitch Club members are here to support you. You can always ask questions, share ideas, and get advice—machine stitch included.
And if machine embroidery isn’t your thing, that’s absolutely fine too!
The vast majority of workshops focus on hand stitch and mixed media, covering a wide range of creative techniques including:
-
Collage and appliqué
-
Surface design and embellishment
-
Landscape and portrait work
-
Dyeing and printing
-
Stitch-led storytelling
-
Textile book making
-
Assemblage, thread manipulation, and more
We’re always open to suggestions—if there’s a technique or artist you’d love to explore,
