What do you need help with?
Connecting with other Stitch Club members is easy and rewarding! You can send private messages to other members using the Direct Messages feature.

🔓 Switching on Direct Messaging
To make sure other members can contact you via direct message, follow these steps:

In the members’ area, click on your profile thumbnail image.

On a laptop or desktop, you’ll find it in the top right corner.

On a phone or tablet, it’s also in the top right corner.

Select ‘Edit profile’ from the dropdown menu.

Scroll to the bottom of the menu and find the option:
‘Prevent members from messaging me’
Make sure this is toggled off.
(If this feature is on, members won’t be able to contact you via direct messaging.) -
Don’t forget to click ‘Save changes’ at the bottom of the screen.
💬 To Send a Direct Message

On a laptop or desktop:
Click the speech bubble icon in the top bar, this is your ‘Direct Messages’ section. -
On a phone or tablet:
Tap the hamburger menu icon (three lines at the top), then select the speech bubble icon for ‘Direct Messages’.
To start a new message:

Click the plus (+) icon to create a new message.

In the ‘To:’ box, start typing the name of the member you want to contact, then click on their name when it appears.

Type your message in the text box. You can also add links or images using the icons below the box.

Press ‘Enter’ or click the arrow icon to send your message.
📥 To Access Your Direct Messages

Click on the speech bubble icon labelled ‘Direct Messages’ to view your messages.

If you’ve received a new message, a red notification dot will appear next to the icon in the main menu.
